NEWS  ASSOCIATION  MEMBERS  FUTURE MEMBERS  OSSN STATUTE  CONTACT  PO POLSKU		24 October 2003 The OSSN Conference in Warsaw On 24 October the representatives of the entities comprising the OSSN met at the Gromada Hotel in Warsaw. The conference was attended by 37 participants. The programme: The report of the Management Board on the OSSN activities during the past 4 months. The report on the meeting between the OSSN Management Board and the Board of the National Chamber of Commerce. Report from the UEPH meeting in Monaco. Discussion of new initiatives connected with the UEPH activities: the proposal to organize a summer UEPH meeting (4 June 2004) in Poland (possible locations: Wrocław, Kraków, Gdańsk) the proposal to organize a successive meeting of the UEPH members in Poland the proposal to establish cooperation with associations of private hospitals from the Eastern Europe, in particular the creation of the UEPH East-European office directed by the OSSN Report on the meeting between the OSSN representatives and Jerzy Hausner, the Minister of Economy, Labor and Social Policy. Presentation of the results of the Manager of the Year competition - the winner became dr Marek Krobicki, the Chairman of the Hospital of the Order of St John of God in Kraków. Presentation of the consulting company Sygma - an offer to introduce ISO standards and additional quality standars Election of Izabela Witczak from the Lower Silesian Heart Disease Centre "Medinet" to the position of the OSSN Quality Assurance Representative Discussion between Andrzej Krupa, the NFZ Contracts Director, and the representatives of private hospitals, concerning new contracting principles Report of the Pomorskie Brokerage Society (PTB) on the selection of the group insurance for the OSSN members - tender won by PZU. Presentation of the design studio EuroMediCare in Wrocław. Speech delivered by Vadimas Grebinskis, Chairman of the Lithuanian Association of Primate Medical Companies on the situation of private medical institutions in Lithuania Membership changes at the Management Board - resignation from the posts of Maciej Kiełbratowski and Janusz Brzyk; selection of new members: Adam Rozwadowksi from the Medical Centre ENEL-MED and Robert Błaszczyk FROM the Medical Centre Damiana. Resolutions of the OSSN Conference: It was decided that the insurance of the associated hospitals will be carried out through the agency and according to the conditions negotiated by Pomorskie Brokerage Society, which for this purpose was duly authorised by the Management Board of the OSSN. It was decided that the OSSN would enter the ISO certification process according to the rates proposed by the companies: Sygma and Jerzy Cliniecki sp. z o.o., which had entered into partnership for the execution of that project. It was decided that work would be carried out on a joint banking and credit system It was decided that work would be carried out on the start of TUW.
