Report on the meeting of the Lower Silesian Section of the OSSNwith the Director of the Lower Silesian Branch of NFZ On Monday (22 September) the Specialist Hospital EuroMediCare held a meeting between the representatives of the Lower Silesian Section of the Polish Private Hospitals Association and Andrzej Woźny, Director of the Lower Silesian Branch of NFZ. The subject of the meeting was the discussion of changes concerning the new contracting terms, which are to be introduced in 2004. The meeting was attended by representatives of the following medical institutions: Centre of Pulmonary Diseases and Allergies in Karpacz, Hospital of Pulmonary and Neoplastic Diseases in Szklarska Poręba, Lower Silesian Centre of Heart Diseases in Wrocław, Specialist Hospital EuroMedicCare in Wrocław, and Lower Silesian Rehabilitation Centre in Kamienna Góra. The most discussed topics concerned the principles of establishing the budget and the criteria used in the assignment of next year's contracts. The participants of the meeting also asked the NFZ Director about settlements for the contracts exceeded this year and the services provided on the basis of promissory notes. The also repeatedly stressed that effective hospital management requires extended deadlines on the NFZ contracts and more stable contracting principles. The representatives expressed their concern over the steep requirements and the proposed criteria for awarding the contracts, which had been presented on the NFZ website. Andrzej Woźny said that the presented rules would soon be amended and as a result they should become more acceptable. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
